Mike is a fourth generation Kansan and a forty year resident of Johnson County. Mike and his wife, Jennie, have been married for 24 years and have three daughters who have grown up in the Olathe School District.
Mike proudly served in the U.S. Navy, where he developed a strong sense of discipline, leadership, and commitment to service. After his military service, he went on to own and operate several local small businesses, gaining firsthand experience in the challenges facing entrepreneurs and job creators. Since March 2026, Mike has represented the residents of District 121 in the Kansas House of Representatives, where he works to bring those real-world experiences to the policymaking process.
Mike values spending quality time with his wife and daughters, making family the center of his life. He has a passion for craftsmanship and woodworking, taking pride in building and creating things by hand. Mike also enjoys spending time around classic cars and trucks, especially bringing them back to life through careful restoration.
